Year in review
Tonya presented the accomplishments of the club during this Rotary year. There was a lot going on and accomplished!
- Our Centennial Year Celebrated in two ways... the big Charter Night party in December and then the Centennial Mural painting project in April / May.
- FALA Chartered their INTERACT club
- Inaugural golf tournament fundraiser
- Increase in members by 25%
- Increase in female members from 18% to 26%
- The addition of monthly service projects
- The new meeting venue at Taverna
- The addition of monthly social events
- The addition of a Public Image board member. This resulted in not 1, not 2, but 3 above the fold articles and pictures of Rotary / Interact related activities in the AZ Daily Sun.
-Clear progress was made for the club towards being a 100% Paul Harris Fellow club
- $10,521 was give by members to The Rotary Foundation
- The club gave $321 per capita to the Foundation.
It has been a great growth year for the club. The February Club visioning project will help keep the club moving forward.
Paul Harris Fellowship presentations
District Governor Blake and Steve Cervantes presented 22 Paul Harris Fellows. An honorary PHF was given to Lindsey DeStefano, the artist for our Centennial Mural Project.
There were 5 groups of members that were presented their pins.
First time Paul Harris Fellows, PHF+1, PHF+2, PHF+3, and Carla Viola received a PHF+6. Congratulations to everyone earning their pin and to Steve for his tireless work this year!. This is how the club donated $10K to the Foundation during 2021-2022.
District award
District Governor Bret presented Steve Cervantes with an award for the outstanding work he did this at the district level.
